Earl Einhorn The Father of Fortran Generative Art

Now in his 80s, Earl Einhorn is a living legend, known as the Father of Fortran Generated Art, and one of the true pioneers of the entire computer-programmed art world.

Earl started using the Fortran programming language to make his art in 1989 and all of his work is programmed in Fortran & then colorized by hand in Photoshop.

He is currently in the midst of releasing one piece of his extraordinary work as an “ordinal” (NFT) on the Bitcoin blockchain every week in 2025
